Winston Industries is Hiring an Electrical Design Engineer Near Louisville, KY

What will I really be doing?You'll be a master of multitasking and have a knack for devising innovative solutions to issues. You'll be responsible for the electrical components in current products and future products. We need you to assist with regulatory agency approvals for new and existing products, such as UL, NSF, and CE. You'll work with Quality Control to identify and resolve defects to reduce scrap and improve product quality. You’ll audit our current products to evaluate for improvements. You’ll assist the production floor as needed for troubleshooting and end-of-line testing. And we want you to design and build testing apparatuses for electrical lifecycle testing of components and production validation testing to reduce line down-time. In short, you'll be our subject matter expert on all things electrical.
What kind of experience is required?You need at least a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field and at least five years of professional experience. A fundamental understanding of electrical principles is essential. You'll need a working knowledge of design software such as Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Electrical to develop, maintain, and update drawings for harnesses, wiring diagrams, and electrical components.
Are there any other necessary qualities?Naturally, we're looking for the qualities that make anyone a good team member. You're comfortable working alone and as a team. You enjoy challenging yourself to meet or exceed goals. You're a good communicator, both verbally and in writing. You put customers first (both external and internal). And you have a track record of getting things done and done right.
We're a bit unconventional, so a good sense of humor is a definite plus.
