Wholeview Wellness is an addiction treatment center in Midtown Manhattan and a telehealth provider in the state of New York. This practice is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the team and work closely with the VP of Finance to provide general accounting support. They will ensure a timely and accurate month close process including population of QuickBooks entries, creation of related backup schedules, and assistance with invoicing and revenue cycle management.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including data entry, invoice processing, and payment processing
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare financial reports and analysis as needed
• Assist in revenue cycle management activities, including billing and collection analysis
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures
• Assist with payroll execution
• Facilitate communication and coordination of insurance eligibility information between the clinical team and billing vendor
• Assist in collection and posting of co-pays and self-pay fees

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required including 1-3 years of bookkeeping work experience
• Prior experience with AP/AR work is preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks and expense management platforms) is a plus
• Experience in billing and revenue cycle management a plus
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
