The focus is to help provide a level of support in the areas of written communication in order to meet the firm’s business and growth strategies. This position will reside in the Hartford office but will be expected to travel to other offices.Responsibilities:• Responsible for sending information to social media channels and other communication platforms• Provide website and intranet updates as needed• Write and distribute content marketing• Write and edit RFP’s.• Write and edit on-line articles for firm’s website and blogs• Press release creation• Assist in managing events• Assist with any designing or redesigning of company logo and signage.• Write speeches, arrange for interviews with the media and coordinate in-house communication courses• Maintain and update executive bios• Develop presentations for staff• Organize and attend events where W&H is represented, as needed• Ensuring quality and consistency of the firm’s branding in collateral materials and compiling firm metrics and business development activities QualificationsExperience: • Bachelor degree in communications, journalism and/or marketing • 1-3 years working in a progressive communications role • Must have superior communication skills especially writing skills • Imaging editing software a strong plus. • Basic HTML or web editing skills a plus • Adobe Suite a plus • Strong public speaking and interpersonal and problem-solving skills. • Be able to develop strong internal/external relationships and create effective solutions to communication problems. • Great positive attitude. • Team-orientated personality • Self-motivated and well organized.
