The Financial Analyst's role involves providing financial analysis and support for specific business functions, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to their assigned areas of responsibility. The position also engages in ad-hoc analysis to enhance business performance and contributes to the annual budget process by preparing, reviewing, and assessing the operational budgets for reasonableness. What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related field required;
  • Prior experience with databases and business intelligence tools preferred;
  • Expertise in the use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve errors;
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to handle imperfect data, harness and refine data via modeling and ultimately provide business insights to key stake holders;
  • Work under time pressure and tight deadlines.

What you will do

  • Financials analysis each period to review, analyze and add commentary to build presentation to report on the direction of the company;
  • Prepare Waterfall charting and digital dashboards to aid users in understanding their individual business segment and visually track overall trends;
  • Become an internal consultant to the divisions to interpret financial results and provide guidance/commentary on trending;
  • Assist and augment analysis within the Annual Budget process throughout all operating divisions;
  • Prepare preliminary budget estimates, work with the Accounting department and operations managers to refine budgets and load into financials systems;
  • Prepares various reporting to stakeholders throughout the process;
  • Ongoing analysis on Restaurant division castle locations via sales bands to identify outliers and then communication with operations to diagnose primary indicators;
  • Financial analysis, review and ranking of individual store locations, using numerous financial metrics, to isolate bottom x performers;
  • Quarterly evaluation of castle trend trajectory and future contracted rent increases to advise operations and Real Estate of possible exit timing for specific locations;
  • Measure Performance vs Budgets and conduct variance analysis to determine underlying primary driver(s). Publication off period report to all department heads and EC members;
  • Track, analyze and report on Capital Expenditures across the company;
  • Prepare and report on Budgeted Capital expenditures plan for upcoming year;
  • Perform discounted Cashflow models and Return on Investment analysis on demand for various departments and operations to evaluate decisions from a financial perspective and provide guidance.
