Financial Applications Analyst

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Bricker Graydon is seeking a Financial Applications Analyst to join our IT team, in Columbus, OH. Guided by department objectives and priorities, this position will play an integral role in the success of the firm’s financial systems strategy. This position will assist in the implementation, maintenance, and support of the financial applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: “Essential functions” are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation made by the employer.
- Facilitate meetings/discussion groups related to requirements definition/gathering, issue resolution, and process improvement.
- Provide system maintenance, monitoring, business continuity, and problem resolution for the financial systems environment.
- Ensure on-going support and maintenance of the various information systems including new systems, system upgrades, enhancements and consulting services.
- Participate in monthly maintenance processes.
- Manage application upgrades and other system changes.
- Analyze system requirements and document technical specifications for all financial systems applications.
- Maintain and develop technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose application issues.
- Participate in the development of testing plans for introduction of new systems/technology, changes to existing systems/technology, and process automation.
- Work with software vendors or internal resources to install, configure, and test applications.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- College degree or equivalent in Business or Information Technology.
- 5 years of experience working as an Application/Systems Administrator.
- 2 years of experience working specifically within Financial systems/applications.
- Writing Microsoft SQL queries and reporting.
- Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory architecture, NTFS permissions, DNS and OS security.
- Software deployment technologies.
- Technology project facilitation.
- Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
- Experience with Aderant or Elite (Legal Technology) is a plus.
- Experience working within the Legal Industry is a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Facilitate meetings/discussion groups related to requirements definition/gathering, issue resolution, and process improvement.
- Excellent analytical skills with knowledge of front-end applications and IT architecture.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, leadership, time management and organizational skills.
- Good decision-making skills and response to time-sensitive situations.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and heightened attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to speak effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and writing SQL queries and reports.
- Knowledge of the legal or professional services industry preferred.
