Wheels Up is looking for a world-class Manager of Conformity in Remote to join our team of dedicated and passionate professionals, fueled by the most powerful brand in private aviation, as we continue our mission of democratizing the private aviation space through cutting-edge technology and innovative product and service offerings. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Conformity Evaluation:
  • Lead the evaluation of aircraft technical and configuration status.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to verify conformity.
  • FAA Communication:
  • Serve as the focal point for all FAA communications related to aircraft conformity.
  • Facilitate smooth communication with the FAA, addressing inquiries and providing necessary documentation.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain high safety and compliance standards.
  • Monitor and track any discrepancies or non-conformities.
  • Implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of conformity evaluations, findings, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the DOM, maintenance, and production teams.
  • Coordinate efforts to address any discrepancies or modifications.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for process improvement related to conformity assessment.
  • Implement best practices and enhance efficiency.
  • Up to 50% travel may be required to be onsite at various locations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations or aviation management preferred along with (4) years of experience in aviation technical operations.
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and regulatory authorities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze technical data.
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance, quality control, or conformity management.

Salary Range

The wage range for this position ($105,000/Yr. – $130,000/Yr. base salary) is determined on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, such as differences in skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. This wage range has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with where the position may be filled. At Wheels Up, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Your placement within the wage range is primarily based on your qualifications and experience.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
