Role Overview

Wheels Up is looking for a world-class Director, Scheduling at our Member Operations Center (MOC) in Chamblee, GA and join our team of dedicated and passionate professionals, fueled by the most powerful brand in private aviation, as we continue our mission of democratizing the private aviation space through cutting-edge technology and innovative product and service offerings. 

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and maintains department goals and objectives, in line with top level KPIs and profitability targets
  • Incorporates business strategies into department strategies, collaborating with department managers on practical application within each function
  • Shapes and implements department policy, process, and execution strategies 
  • Coordinates policy and process changes, initiatives, and supporting communication with all departments 
  • Manages department budget, staffing requirements, team and manager development, growth initiatives, and performance management
  • Establishes standards and service level agreements (SLAs) for each function within the department, both internal and integrated with all other departments 
  • Strategizes for department growth, innovation, and iteration for supporting business objectives while considering everchanging strategies
  • Ensures all functions have integrated operational and commercial decision framework
  • Provides ongoing guidance and coaching to support to the managers and supervisors to maintain and constantly improve the team’s performance in relation to standards, SLAs, and department goals
  • Role models the company vision, mission, values, and culture to the team
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in dynamic operations environment, preferably Part 135
  • Aircraft and Crew Scheduling experience, preferably Part 135 floating fleet
  • Minimum five years operations, management, finance or strategic experience, preferably in aviation, including a minimum of two years of direct people leadership
  • In depth knowledge of Aviation based systems, such as a Flight Management System

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree in Aviation Businesss Management, or similar experience
  • Dispatcher’s license, Private Pilot License, or similar experience

Salary Range

The wage range for this position ($165,000 – $220,000 base salary) is determined on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, such as differences in skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. This wage range has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with where the position may be filled. At Wheels Up, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Your placement within the wage range is primarily based on your qualifications and experience. 

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
