Position Title: Certified Medical Assistant

Busy medical practice in Carrollton (Pickens County) is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide excellent care to our patients. The CMA will perform a wide variety of clinical duties and services for patients in accordance with established protocols and specific instructions from the providers.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain an accurate and comprehensive medical history and document information into the patient's record.
• Assists providers in routine health visits by recording chief complaints and/or other pertinent information, obtaining vital signs, etc.
• Set up treatment trays, prepare instruments, and/or other equipment, and assist providers with examinations and special procedures.
• Collect various specimens and cultures from patients, as directed by providers.
• Perform other clinical duties such as, basic lab procedures - urinalysis, hemoglobin, strep test, pregnancy tests, and phlebotomy procedures according to training methodologies.

Skills

• Must be a Certified through the National Healthcare Association or American Association of Medical Assistants or other nationally recognized organizations
• Proven working experience as a medical assistant preferred 
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
