JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Development Associate

Westside Family Health Center (WFHC) is a nonprofit community clinic dedicated to providing

high quality, low cost healthcare to more than 13,000 women, men and children. Founded in

1974, WFHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center with 50 employees and volunteers. We’re

currently seeking a Development Associate to join our team, so if you have a passion for

Position: Development Associate

Primary Responsibilities: The Development Associate will report to the Director of

Development and support the work of the Development Department including administrative

support, scheduling, internal/external communications, creative concepts, donor outreach and

assist with fundraising campaigns and other projects.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Detail oriented with proven time/project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to prioritize and organize multiple

projects, meet deadlines, problem solve, and multitask.

  • Strong research and analytical abilities along with proficient internet skills, including

prospect research.

  • Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint,

Publisher), and Outlook. Knowledge of Donor Perfect, donor management software.

  • Experience with e-marketing systems such as Mail Chimp.
  • Ability to interact with donors, staff, volunteers, and the public with diplomacy,

discretion, and tact a must.

  • Ability to thrive and work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced and rapidly

growing program, with limited supervision.

Education: bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of professional nonprofit fund development

experience highly desirable.
