Full-time Position
Essential Functions
- Assist the Manager of Environmental Services in assuring the facility is maintained in a clean and safe manner for resident comfort and convenience; ensure the necessary equipment and supplies are maintained/operable; inspect the bathrooms, offices, assignments, etc., on a daily basis to ensure that cleanliness and sanitary standards are being met at all times.
- Report immediately all incidents and accidents and unsafe/hazardous conditions/equipment pertaining to the Housekeeping/Laundry Departments and/or residents.
- Review and participate in making recommended changes regarding department policies, procedures, manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually.
- Recommend staffing needs or changes to the Manager of Environmental Services.
- Participate in the development of the budget for the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments by giving input to the Manager of Environmental Services.
- Perform administrative requirements, such as ordering supplies and completing necessary forms, requisitions, inventory, charge slips, and reports.
- Attend and participate in workshops and seminars to keep abreast of current federal/state regulations and housekeeping and laundry techniques/procedures, as well as to maintain a professional status.
- Attend meetings and participate in committees as requested.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as directed.
