Job DescriptionCovanta Environmerntal Solutions(CES) is seeking a highly dedicated Industrial Environmental Services Technician with strong sense of teamwork, interested in becoming a skilled technician in the environmental field.The Industrial Services Technician will be part of the Spill Response Team responsible for clean-up of hazardous and non -hazardous waste for Covanta Environmental Solutions industrial customers.Key Duties & Responsibilities:Work in confined spaces. May require Crawling, Lifting up to 50lbsHandling, packaging and transportation of both Hazardous and Non Hazardous materialsUse of Hydro blast equipment, Forklift, and Skid loaderBuild expertise in specialty vacuum equipment, confined space entry mechanical, industrial hygiene instrumentation, pneumatic tools, electrical tools and varying degrees of manual use hand toolsCompletion of critical path documentation; Manifests, Drivers Logs, Job Summary, Permits etc.Communicate with Project Manager and on site customersOccasional weekend and evening overtime hoursQualificationsHS Diploma or GED equivalencyMust posess a valid Driver's Licence - Class A or B Commercial Driver's License is preferred although not required.Due to this positions interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations, candidates must be 21 years or older.Ability to work in Confined Space EntriesAvailability for Emergency ResponseExcellent communication skills and attention to detailMechanical troubleshooting abilityAbility to thrive on hard work and demonstrated pride in solutions oriented resultsStrong physical and mental endurance to finish the jobPreferred skills:HAZWOP certificateVac Truck ExperiencePrevious industrial services experienceAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
