We are looking to hire an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk who works well in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and have a strong financial background and be proficient in various accounting tasks. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the accounting department. Be able to work well independently and get along well with others.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO FOLLOW:
· Maintaining, scanning, copying, filing, auditing, managing databases, and completing general administrative/clerical duties.
· Provide administrative support to the accounting department.
· Create and prepare reports, forms, and records in Excel spreadsheets.
· Mastering heavy data entry in a computer and maintaining a database with a high level of accuracy.
· Perform general accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliation.
· Assist with journal entries and month-end close processes.
· Conduct account analysis and reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
· Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
· Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
· Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
· Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders.
· Ensuring the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.
· Utilize accounting software to streamline financial processes.
· Apply advanced knowledge of financial concepts to support decision-making.
· Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
· Control and maintain the inventory system and mechanic system.
· Assist and support all company personnel in accounting-related matters.
· Answer the phone system professionally and in a timely manner.
· Assist with other projects in the office as assigned.
· Candidate must be flexible and open to performing multiple tasks as needed.
· You may be cross-trained in other areas and various duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
· Stable employment history.
· Association or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
· Proven work experience as an Accounting Specialist or similar role.
· Knowledge of bookkeeping and standard GAAP Accounting Procedures and Practices.
· Strong mathematical skills.
· Strong financial acumen and attention to detail.
· Knowledge of general ledger reconciliation and financial services.
· Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
· Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop preferred.
· Experience in inventory is a plus.
· Basic email skills, Internet Explorer (sending, receiving, and organizing communication).
· Experience in E-file and basic office machinery (copier, fax, scanner).
· Must pass a typing test with a speed of 40 words per minute.
· Fast and accurate data entry skills.
· Advance in Excel, Word, Microsoft Office
· Must be able to create and maintain spreadsheets in Excel for various reporting.
· Effective and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to interface well and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
· Must have advanced problem solving and handle difficult situations and personnel problems effectively.
· Accurate, Detail-oriented with the ability to manage a large number of detailed tasks.
· Prioritize tasks, manage detailed tasks within deadlines, and have time management skills.
· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and able to multitask effectively.
· Eagerness to learn and enjoys using knowledge to help others.
· Adaptability to changes and grasp new concepts and processes, including technology.
· Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
· Must be dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality.
· Must pass a criminal background check and a drug-free workplace.
