DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position reviews invoices and statements verifying information, ensuring sufficient funds have been obligated, and if questionable. The review will include coding transactions, and processing Invoicing through data processing for application in the accounting system. Analysis and reconciliation of credit card transactions with purchasing reports (researching causes of discrepancies, and taking action to ensure that accounts balance). Contract Administrator provides suggestions for handling unusual or non-recurring transactions. The Accounting Clerk III is responsible for keeping the databases updated with accurate information received to track contract financial information. Compile data for Weekly Financials and reconcile TARs when closed out to assure all charges were billed correctly. Conformance with requirements and technical soundness of completed work are reviewed by the Contract Administrator, or are controlled by mechanisms built into the accounting processes. Performs additional duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE: Three years’ experience as an accounting clerk required. Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially with MS Access and MS Excel. May be required to obtain a security clearance.

EDUCATION: High School diploma

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• US Citizenship is Required
• Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card
• Valid State driver's license and car insurance for access to military installations and travel
• Eligible for and be able to obtain a U.S. Government motor vehicle operator's permit for assigned class of vehicle

SALARY: $18.81 hourly
