Position Summary:

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Process Engineer to assist in the design and development of wastewater treatment equipment and systems, as well as the redesign of existing systems. Provide engineering support on proposals and be responsible for the detailed design on a wide range of solutions projects. This is the experienced Process Engineer level. This role performs a full range of assignments, from sizing equipment, selecting process components, supporting conceptual design studies, system audits and detailed engineering support. It requires considerable independent judgment to be the resource for customers, in-house, and agent's needs.

Some of the work that you will do: 

• Specification review from contractors and engineers as well as developing specifications for equipment to be sent to the customer/fabricator.
• Creation of technical drawings and documentation such as, P&ID’s, PFDs, mass balances, hydraulic profiles, and other process documentation support for project execution. Will also support firm bid proposals prior to submission including hour estimates for the scope of work along with review of scope, feasibility, and equipment sizing.
• Develop, review, and approve the project control narrative.
• Participate/collaborate with sales team on technical clarifications and exceptions for the proposal phase with a customer. Conduct weekly coordination meetings with sub-consultants, customers, and internal team members.
• Communicate project details to Project Engineers, Project Managers and Designers/Drafters of varying disciplines; instrumentation & controls, electrical, mechanical & civil/structural
• Support on-site activities and engineering request for information. This may include travel to and from site to support the supervision of construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Make continuous improvements with the job functions and processes.
• Other duties as assigned/requested.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience: Generally, 5-10 or more years of related experience
• Ability to travel (approximately 25%)
• Strong math skills
• General understanding of chemistry and physics

• Detail oriented, well organized with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Here are the skills that will set you apart:

• Master's degree in engineering
• Experience with AutoCAD, Solid Works, Pro-E, and Plant 3D, and excel
• Previous experience compiling detailed engineering deliverables and general knowledge of water processing equipment, instrumentation, and piping.
• Prior sales experience
