Job description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining positive relationships with vendors, processing invoices, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Receive, review, obtain approvals, and process invoices from vendors or suppliers for goods and services.
· Verify invoice for accuracy, matching with purchase orders and contracts, and comply with company policies.
· Enter invoice details into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
· Prepare and process payments to vendors, which includes payment upload to banking portal, processing wire requests.
· Process credit card transactions, and monthly reconciliations.
· Process employee expense reports, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.
· Review and approve expense reports in Concur.
· Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve payment inquires and discrepancies.
· Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.
· Reconcile accounts payable, prepare monthly accrual journal entries and assist in month-end closing.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
· Identify opportunities for process improvements in the accounts payable process.
· Review and process daily timecards from manufacturing
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
· Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist
· Strong proficiency in using accounting software and excel
· Knowledge of basic accounting principles
· Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education / Experience
· Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent
· Minimum of 4 years of related work experience
Preferred Experience
· An equivalent combination of education plus related work experience will be considere
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
