Today, the concept of it takes a village has given way to urban sprawl, disconnected families and broken lives. Wellspring Lutheran Services purposefully takes a whole-person approach to our organization and delivery of our services. We are convinced that we must find the strengths in people and build on these for any lasting change to occur. We believe in a concept of community, where resources are available in an integrated fashion to people at any stage of life. We want to be a wellspring, a source of hope and refreshment, where young and old live naturally together, strengthening one anoth...er and receiving the security, services and renewal they need to live out their full potential. Our history runs deep. For over 120 years, we've been in the business of serving people. During this time, we've engaged with thousands of people of all ages and circumstances. That deep history has built a legacy of trust throughout Michigan. But we haven't rested on our legacy alone. Depth must also be applied to our thinking. That's why in recent years we've re-thought and restructured our core competencies to increase the flow of services to the people we serve individuals, families, communities, congregations and more. The word wellspring is defined as the head or source of a stream that flows with abundance. Thats really what we are, too: an abundant source of hope, flowing to people in need. This wellspring will be directed to water the seeds of hope and change for people at every stage of life, so they can grow to experience and embrace their God-given potential.
