Responsibilities
- Provide quality nursing care to residents in an environment that promotes their rights, dignity, freedom of choice and individuality.
- Perform all responsibilities according to prescribed safety and infection control procedures including hand washing, glove use and proper disposal of materials.
- Make daily resident visits to observe and evaluate physical and emotional status.
- Receive report from the off-going nurse and provide report to the on-coming nurse.
- Give report to the medical team for the shift.
- Report changes of condition, abnormal lab results, concerns and new admissions to the physician.
- Report changes of condition, abnormal labs and injury-related falls to the physician and responsible party.
- Receive, implement and document new physician orders and update resident care plans.
- Administer medications timely and follow stop-order procedures according to policy.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing with the State of Michigan (required).
- Successful completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program (required).
- Two years of nursing experience in short-term or long-term care, home health, medical, surgical or critical care (preferred).
- Compassionate, dependable and team-oriented.
- Employment type: Part-time
- Shift: Day shift (6am-6pm)
- Schedule: Self-scheduling
- Weekends and holidays: Every third weekend and every third holiday
- Pay Rate: $29.40 – $32.15/hour, based on experience and licensure
- Additional pay: $5.00/hour midnight shift differential
