As a Client Services Intern at Well Done, you’ll work alongside many talented, passionate people to bring conceptual and strategic ideas to life. Naturally, you’ll be responsible for making sure these creations are in line with the client brief—and it’s expected you possess in-depth knowledge of design, layout, color, and typographic principles. After all, it’s these things that allow you to call yourself a graphic designer in the first place, no?

Position:

This internship provides support to one or more members of the Account Service team and will gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day managing of client accounts, including coordinating client projects with Well Done Marketing creative teams, handling various administrative tasks, conducting research, monitoring client industry news, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The position will require working-level understanding of assigned clients and their associated industries, products and services, and strategic communications plans.

Reports to: Vice President of Client Services

Position Type: Part-time; hourly paid internship

Expected Hours of Work: Monday – Friday, Flexible 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or equivalent up to 20 hours/wk. 

Internship Duration:12 weeks (240 hrs.) from May 20, 2024 – Aug 9, 2024 (approx. dates)

Degree Track:Must be a registered student or recent grad working towards a degree in marketing, advertising, public relations, or a related field

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assists with meeting and presentation preparation, agendas, status reports, mailing and courier services, and media and advertising tracking reports.
  • Gathers and assembles background information and vendor estimates/purchase orders as needed to assist in the development of estimates, proposals, creative briefs, and project kick-off meetings.
  • Coordinates media deadlines and assists in trafficking creative assets to media vendors on a regular basis, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Coordinates timelines and availability of internal teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure projects move according to plan and deadlines, drawing attention to potential problems before they occur.
  • Provides research assistance on trends, competitors, and national media that affects current clients or prospects.
  • Maintains and organizes digital and hard copy files on current and completed client activity.
  • Stays aware of client activities and provides support when account service team members are unavailable.
  • Participate in intern cohort team project

Skills & Experience:

  • Customer service and communication skills
  • Adept at time management and organization
  • Effective member of a team
  • Ability to learn processes and client accounts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite of products
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and WordPress CMS are a plus

Work Environment:

This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, digital cameras, and scanners.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time.

Travel:

Travel may be limited for client meetings or other agency activities.
