Weishaupt America Inc. is Hiring a Regional Sales Manager Near Atlanta, GA

Weishaupt is a long-established, family-owned business. For almost 70 years, the company has developed and built heating equipment in Schwendi, Germany. Having started with oil burners, Weishaupt today has a wide range of experience in the energy technology, energy recovery, and energy management sectors.

The Weishaupt Group has over 4,000 employees world-wide and is a market leader for burners, condensing boilers, heat pumps, solar energy, and building automation.

Weishaupt Corporation, located in Mississauga, is the head office for North America, and specializes in industrial burners.

Our office in Atlanta, GA, has currently an opening for a Regional Sales Manager

You are a highly motivated, technically well-versed individual, experienced in providing expert advice, and selling technical products. You are used to work independently, as well as part of a team.

This position comes with a competitive salary. In addition, we offer a structured bonus, an attractive benefits package, and a company car. Professional training for our products and technology will be provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage geographically diverse sales region.
  • Interact with customers to understand their requirements and sell high end goods or services which meet their interests. Interact with other sales managers to discuss project needs and provide input.
  • Maintain and develop sales channels including manufacturer’s representatives, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), end users and other strategic alliances.
  • Assist in the sales process by educating representatives, consultants and others through group presentations, face-to-face meetings, and trade shows.
  • Develop engineering specifications and assist representatives with documentation and technical requirements throughout the sales cycle.
  • Accomplish marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs, developing field sales action plans.
  • Identify marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor's share, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
  • Improve product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities.
  • Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplish marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of standards, emissions requirements and common practices in all areas of the region.
  • Travel within the region is required.

Education:

  • A university degree or college degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum ten years of previous experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a sales position preferably in the HVAC industry.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Broad understanding of commercial/industrial HVAC equipment & systems.
  • Technical and market knowledge of Weishaupt products including competitors is preferred.
  • Ability to assimilate information from engineering drawings & specifications, technical literature, standards, product information catalogues, etc.
  • Possess good business acumen and understand sales practices.
  • German language is considered a plus but is not mandatory.
