Wedbush Securities is Hiring an Operations Control Analyst Near Jersey, NJ

Job Description:

We are currently seeking to hire an Operations Control Analyst based out of our Jersey City office. The Analyst role will largely focus on performing quality assurance oversight, across Operational functions. This requires an understanding of control effectiveness, risk parameters, trade break resolution, regulatory requirements and working knowledge of financial markets.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in establishing and supporting a central repository for Internal and External procedures
  • Ensure control reviews are performed with appropriate subject matter expertise, methodologies and that conclusions are actionable, well supported and documented
  • Assist in creating Key Risk Indicators around the control process, ensuring processes being reviewed are in line with internal policies and external regulatory requirements
  • Maintain strong working relationships with all Operational areas
  • Partner with Operations Control Management and Operations Risk to develop a governance structure for KRIs / KPIs breaches
  • Review Operational processes and structure, and recommend efficient resolutions and actions when needed
  • Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned
Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Working knowledge of financial markets and operations
  • Understanding of Risk and Regulatory frameworks
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) with strong Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various departments and levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to analyze processes and improve efficiency

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current hiring range is $60,000-$65,000. At Wedbush, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at, or near, the top of the range for their role. Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
