Wayside Recovery Center is Hiring a Nurse Manager (RN) Near Minneapolis, MN

Wayside has three programs to help women break the cycle of addiction and trauma.

Wayside Women's Treatment Center provides residential substance use disorder and mental health treatment services for women who face the greatest challenges of achieving long-term sobriety. Residential treatment includes addressing substance use and mental health disorders and wraparound services including housing, health, employment, and parenting.

Wayside Family Treatment Center maintains the family unit by welcoming women who are pregnant and mothers with children into treatment to prevent separation. We receive services for addiction, parenting, understanding how their alcohol or substance use contributes to Adverse Childhood Experiences, and improving their relationship skills to ultimately break the generational transmission of risk.

Wayside Wellness Outpatient Center provides outpatient, intensive outpatient, and preventative care of women. Our programming meets the needs of women at any stage of their journey.

What you will do:

  • Provide overall leadership to the nursing team and ensure that staffing levels, staffing composition, and coverage are adequate to meet the needs of clients and regulatory agencies. Serves as a member of Wayside’s Manager’s team, orients new hires, and provide performance evaluations and a system of ongoing feedback to team members.
  • Work in collaboration with clinical managers and directors on developing and implementing staff training and policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements
  • Oversees and controls supplies that directly impact patient care
  • Assures that nurses and staff are practicing within their scope of practice, reinforce client care standards, and ensure the nursing team is adhering to and implementing physician orders.
  • Participate in audits and quality assurance as needed
  • Oversee and act as a liaison between clients and medical providers, including accessing appointments for physicals, transcribing medication orders, communicating with community medical professions on client health needs.
  • Train non-medical support staff in taking and recording vital signs at admission, recording of client medications, and record keeping of client health concerns. Train staff in Universal Precautions.
  • Meet with clients to develop individualized nursing care plans regarding general health and developing goals within the first week of admission

Compensation: $78,000-82,000 per year

Schedule:

Schedule Monday-Friday, daytime hours and ability to be a part of the on-call rotation for a weekly stipend.

  • Current Minnesota RN licensure
  • Experience as an RN providing direct services to diverse, underserved populations
  • Adult and child CPR
  • Microsoft office/outlook experience
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the field of substance use disorder and/or mental heath
  • Must be able to maintain client confidentiality in accordance with state and federal guidelines and HIPAA requirements.
  • Must be able to pass a Minnesota DHS background study
  • Current MN driver’s license
