- Perform requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution with a high level of proficiency and independence.
- Communicate directions effectively and provide guidance to junior programmer/analysts when necessary.
- Develop solutions that integrate or extend Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) or Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) products.
- Evaluate project needs, determine tasks and durations, and generate and review designs for technical accuracy and completeness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, particularly in the specified technologies and methodologies.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph clearance required.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated commitment to contributing to open-source applications.
- Proficiency in Java programming for distributed systems, with expertise in networking and multi-threading.
- In-depth knowledge of Apache Hadoop, Accumulo, and NiFi.
- Experience in Agile development methodologies.
- Strong foundation in Linux fundamentals and proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.)
- Familiarity with source code management practices and tools, including Git.
- Proficiency in enabling tools such as Maven, Jira, Bamboo, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/Pipelines.
- Experience with continuous monitoring tools like ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, and Kibana) and Nagios.
- Understanding of microservices software development techniques and container-orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Hadoop/Cloud Developer Certification.
