Position Summary
Mid-Senior Level Cloud Developer needed as part of an agile team working with analysts to translate ideas into requirements for new information systems. This developer should possess the necessary skills required to implement end-to-end solutions including (but not limited to) accessing existing datasets, creating new datasets, performing analytic functions, and exposing analytic results to the end user.
Essential Functions Statements
A strong candidate will possess a background in software development and engineering with a focus on working software-intensive projects and programs for the government customer. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment and will need demonstrated experience in serialization, developing restful services, and using source code management tools.

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

TravelTravel requirements: N/A Required Education, Experience and CertificatesEducation:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field is preferred however, four years of additional experience may be substituted. A master’s degree is a plus, but not required.Experience:
8 years of general experience in software development/engineering including requirements of analysis, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, test, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
At least 6 years of software development in high level languages (Java, C, C ) and 3 years developing software in UNIX/Linux (RedHat versions 3-5 ) and software integration and testing (to include developing & implementing test plans and scripts)
At least 4 years of experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (NoSQL) such as H Base, CloudBase/Accumulo, Big Table, etc., as well as Map Reduce programming model, the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), and technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc.
Preferred Education, Experience and Certificates Experience with developing analytics in the QTA environment.
Familiarity with network encrypting protocols (i.e. IKE/IPsec, TLS, and technologies such as TOR).
Experience with Maven and web services development, Zoom workflows.
Additional Eligibility QualificationsMust be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance.Must have good command of the English language; oral and written. Work Authorization/Security ClearanceEmployee must be a US citizen.
Employee must have and maintain a Top Secret SCI with Full-Scope Poly Clearance Level.
