Position Summary 

This is a senior Java Frameworks developer position for a high priority and highly visible malware analysis modernization program. The individual will work with a dynamic, energic and innovation-driven team to develop new capabilities supporting the front-end processing of data for a mission critical tool. The individual will also support the modernization of the front-end processing services.

Essential Functions Statements 

• Java application development – no front-end necessary
• Agile methodology experience
• NiagaraFiles experience
• Twenty (20) years of software engineering experience is required along with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for the BS degree.

Competency Statements

• Skilled with developing, deploying, and troubleshooting Java applications in a Linux environment
• MongoDB, Spring or Spring Boot, and Kubernetes experience desired

Supervisory ResponsibilityThis role has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

Physical DemandsThis is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities may be required. 

Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require, although no on-call work is expected for this position. Telework up to 50% is being developed for this position but has not yet been approved.
