PURPOSE AND MISSIONProvide accurate financial statements and recommendations on reported entities leading to improved margins and cash flow.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions.
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing internal and external documents.
- Conduct timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Assemble information for external auditors as needed.
- Assist with the timely preparation of business financial reports at the end of each month and quarter (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and others as needed). Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Record transactions and prepare financial reports using QuickBooks at the end of each month, quarter and year end for the Schuette Family business ventures.
- Assist with the verification compliance of sales and use taxes from sales and remit them to their proper agencies if needed.
- Train and function as the payroll processing backup when needed.
- Assist with bank deposits, supplier payments and receivable collections as needed.
- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Responsible for Accounts Receivable and backup to Accounts Payable when needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Highly organized and detail orientated.
- Ability to thrive in a multi-task, self-directed, flexible environment.
- Demonstrated ethical conduct and ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
- Patience with others and focus on results.
- Advanced QuickBooks, Excel, MS Word and PPT skills.
- Excellent communication, conflict management, and people skills.
- Aptitude in problem-solving and strong analytical skills.
- Flexibility and dependability.
- Ability to work under pressure and with constant interruptions.
- A minimum of an Associate Degree in Accounting is required, with a thorough knowledge of manufacturing accounting procedures and principles a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a General Accountant
- Previous experience processing payroll preferred.
- Strong knowledge on MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and QuickBooks
- Must have strong Ethic Principles
