Reporting to the President and COO, the Human Resources Director will lead the department and a staff of two. This individual will function as a strategic partner to the executives and leaders of the organization. They will be responsible for building an HR function that will support the growth and expansion of the organization. The individual in this position will lead a department which provides the full spectrum of HR services including onboarding, talent acquisition, talent management (performance management, career and leadership development, succession planning, etc.) payroll and benefits and acquisitions due diligence and integration. This individual will represent Human Resources in all acquisition efforts. Generally, this person will spend 40% of their time on Organizational Development and Talent Management activities, 40% of their time on traditional Human Resources functions and the remainder of their team leading staff and partnering with the leaders in the business.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy talent management processes including performance management, succession planning and training and development focused on high performing talent.
  • Work with others in the organization and HR to integrate newly acquired companies.
  • Lead, support and/or facilitate organizational design, change management, employee communication and organizational effectiveness initiatives within the assigned functions.
  • Assess and identify training needs; develop and implement plans, programs, processes, and methods to meet those needs that will drive business performance and customer satisfaction; monitor and measure the effectiveness of the processes and program.
  • Manage the development and implementation of technical solutions and other modifications to enhance HR systems’ functionality.
  • Actively participate in articulating the organization’s culture and partner with the leaders to ensure that the culture is reflected in the formal and informal processes of the organization.
  • Manage and oversee the annual performance planning, review, and compensation (base and bonus) process.
  • Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures as well as processes and programs with other HR staff members.
  • Provide employees with support and guidance to address their concerns in areas including teamwork, communication, and leadership among others.
  • Coach and counsel managers and provide the tools to support them in their role as leaders and managers.
  • Oversee complex investigations, audits, and analyses as needed; and recommend solutions.
  • Conduct exit interviews, makes recommendations for improvements, and reports findings and trends.

  • Leadership capabilities particularly in the areas of team building, influencing, trust building and personal engagement.
  • Excellent strategic planning, execution, and project management skills; understands how to mobilize the right internal partners and resources.
  • Self-motivated, self-aware, and comfortable working with ‘C’ level executives and front-line employees
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Business acumen and broad-based business knowledge; understands all aspects of how a business operates and how HR impacts business performance.
  • Engaging verbal and written communication skills
  • Practical experience providing formal/informal executive coaching and development in all areas of leadership, particularly in cultural creation, alignment and change management at the individual, team, and organizational level
  • Ability to objectively assess situations and people and make tough decisions that are appropriate and consistent with the overall business and customer needs
Experience/Education/Qualifications
  • 15 years of progressive Human Resources experience in mid to large size companies known for strong HR practices in a geographically dispersed, high growth company
  • Experience with the acquisitions
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Bilingual preferred
