The Position

Watercourse Counseling Center is seeking a full-time Clinical Director to oversee support and our clinical operations including School-based and Clinic-based services. Candidates must have clinical experience with youth and families, strong supervisory skills, and an interest in community mental health. Strong candidates will be knowledgeable of multiple trauma-informed therapeutic modalities, have experience and desire to work from an intersectional lens, and be willing to strengthen skills in integrating culturally- affirming, equitable care into clinical work. Watercourse is committed to recruiting candidates with cultural fluency and lived experience in communities of color and/or LGBTQIA communities to join our team in which all identities are valued.

Major Functions

Program Direction

  • Provide program direction, oversight, planning and evaluation for School-based and Clinic-based services
  • Maintain collaborative partnering relationships with school administration and support teams at each assigned school-based program site
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director in implementing clinical policies and procedures that uphold high service standards in compliance with clinical policies and regulatory entities
  • Engage in program development and design to expand services to meet identified community needs
  • Assist with agency dialogue exploring issues of race, equity, white privilege and oppression, as it impacts the community we serve, our agency, our services and ourselves
  • Facilitate an organizational climate that values employees from all backgrounds and provide a supportive and inclusive environment in which to work

Clinical and Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision and support to staff with a wide variety of experience levels through establishing trust, safety and vulnerability
  • Supervises licensed clinicians at least monthly for support in meeting professional goals, objectives, and standards
  • Coordinate supervision of pre-license providers, clinical consultations, and professional development and training efforts and provide individual supervision as needed
  • Lead hiring and onboarding of clinical staff positions
  • Connect all staff to appropriate resources as needed (legal, ethical, credentialing, etc.)
  • Prepares for clinical audits and responds to records requests

Agency Involvement

  • Participate in regularly scheduled administrative meetings and agency committees
  • Support the deep integration of culturally responsive, equitable care into all levels of the organization.
  • Engage in community outreach and marketing activities as requested
  • Contribute to realization of agency strategic plan initiatives, including our focus on racial equity and justice

REQUIREMENTS

  • Independently licensed as LICSW, LMFT, LPCC, or LP
  • Minimum of five years of clinical experience with children, families and adults from diverse backgrounds
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Demonstrated leadership, supervisory and management skills
  • Commitment to developing strategies that continually improve the long- term success, viability and advancement of Watercourse Counseling Center’s mission
  • Strong desire to work from an intersectional lens and willingness to strengthen skills in integrating culturally-affirming, equitable care into clinical work
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative work environment
  • Demonstrated competence working with diverse communities
  • Strong listening, critical thinking and problem resolution abilities

Additional qualifications that would be highly regarded:

  • Experience and expertise in one or more trauma-informed therapeutic modalities
  • Experience in program development, implementation and evaluation
  • Fluency in a language other than English

Pay: $75,000.00 - $86,120.17 per year
