- Mixing, prepping, and baking doughs, batters, pastries, and quick breads.
- Preparing, plating, and plattering all desserts/pastries for day of/next day events.
- Keeping track of production and discard dates of all items with an emphasis on product quality.
- Keeping up with inventory pars of ala carte items.
- Communicating clearly on daily tasks and needs with the Pastry Chef & Executive Chef.
- Completing daily tasks in a timely manner.
- Keeping tools, equipment, and work area clean.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education/experience. Formal culinary education is preferred.
- Ability to read and follow recipes accordingly.
- Ability to measure ingredients properly and according to recipe guideline.
- Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to adapt to member needs at a moment’s notice.
- Creativity in creating new pastries.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
- Various dough and batter methods.
- Biscuit method.
- Tempering, folding, and creaming methods.
- Familiarity with soft and hard crack sugar methods.
