The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Vermont State University, Department of Nursing, invites applications for a Part-Time teaching position for Fall 2024 (Aug. 26 - Dec. 13, 2024).

The course to be taught is Nursing- NUR 4040 - Nursing Care of Women & Childbearing Families.
3 Hours of Lecture per week

This course is offered on the Castleton Campus.

In this course, students will apply the nursing process to the care of women across the lifespan. Students will develop skills to meet the needs of families during pregnancy, labor, birth, recovery, and the transition home. Nursing students are expected to exercise critical thinking, use therapeutic communication skills, and provide nursing interventions for the acute, chronic and high-risk healthcare needs of women and families. This course includes supervised laboratory, agency, and clinical practicums.

Minimum Qualifications: 
Qualified candidates must possess a Master's degree in Nursing or related field. Teaching experience in secondary school or college is a plus. An active unencumbered Vermont RN licensure or eligibility for an unencumbered Vermont license required. A valid driver's license is required. 

Salary: 
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
