The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Vermont State University, Department of Nursing, invites applications for a Part-Time teaching position on our Castleton campus for Fall 2024 (August 26 - December 13, 2024).

Part Time Faculty - Nursing - NUR 2510 - Evidence-Based Practice - 3 credits (hybrid)

This course will explore inquiry and scholarship in the nursing discipline with a focus on providing students with foundational knowledge regarding critical appraisal and research utilization for the provision of nursing practice that is evidence based. The student will learn the importance of inquiry, how to formulate a clinical question, perform database searches, critically analyze evidence and complete a literature review. Additionally, the course will review how informatics and technology are used to provide care, gather data, drive decision making and support the nursing discipline.

Minimum Qualifications: 
Qualified candidates must possess a Masters degree in Nursing or related field. Teaching experience in secondary school or college is a plus. An active unencumbered Vermont RN licensure or eligibility for an unencumbered Vermont license required. A valid driver's license is required. 

Salary: 
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
