The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Vermont State University, Department of Nursing, invites applications for a Part-Time teaching position for Fall 2024 (August 26 - December 13, 2024) on the Castleton campus.

Part Time Faculty - Nursing- NUR 1015 - Health Promotion, Wellness & Disease Prevention - 1 Credit of Clincal Course Oversight

This course will provide foundational knowledge to students in areas of wellness, health promotion, disease prevention, through utilization of evidence-based practice, and awareness of the effect that diversity, equity and social determinants of health have on individuals and groups across the lifespan. A variety of communication and interviewing techniques to foster patient care and Interdisciplinary Academic Unit partnership. The role of the nurse within the healthcare system and the impact of the nursing process on quality and safety are explored.

Minimum Qualifications: 
Qualified candidates must possess a Masters degree in Nursing or related field. Teaching experience in secondary school or college is a plus. An active unencumbered Vermont RN licensure or eligibility for an unencumbered Vermont license required. A valid driver's license is required. 

Salary: 
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
