Description

We are looking for a driven Railcar/ISO Tank expert with an entrepreneurial mindset to develop fluid sealing solutions and introduce new products to the transportation industry. This is a highly technical and solutions-based position that is focused on the success of both our clients and their maintenance providers through engineering support, outstanding communication, and industry-leading fluid sealing training. This is a highly rewarding role that is focused on the safe transportation of hazardous materials for the rail tank car, ISO tank, and tank trailer industries.

Essential Functions

• Competently represent and practice VSP’s approach to fluid sealing management for the transportation industry (Rail Tank Cars, ISO Tanks, and Tank Trailers).
• Drive VSP’s industry-leading training programs at repair shops and loading/unloading facilities
• Support and collaborate with territory repair shops to ensure mutual client's specifications are being followed
• Identify and propose sealing solutions inside territory
• Document the cost impact of your work/solutions
• Become fluid sealing expert within the assigned territory
• Become conduit between client, repair shops, and appropriate VSP department
• Support customer and provide outstanding service
• Salesforce utilization

Requirements

Travel 

Weekly overnight travel: 50% plus.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM)
• Or a High School Diploma with 5 years minimum rail tank car maintenance experience in lieu of a college degree
• Customer service interactions, support, and sales experience
• Transportation experience (Preferred)
• Working knowledge of Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing techniques (Preferred)
