National Smart Healthcare Services, Inc. is a rapidly growing private community mental health company servicing the Greater Houston area. NSH provides comprehensive case management and psychosocial rehabilitation services to individuals suffering from severe and persistent mental illness, and/or substance abuse issues.

Your Job responsibilities as Transportation Specialist will consist of the following:

• Transport consumers to various medical/psych appointments and social service appointments while maintaining the highest level of safety and professionalism
• Maintain contact with scheduler between all trips throughout the entire work day
• Complete and submit all required trip documentation daily
• Assist the licensed clinical staff in providing direct patient care to psychiatric, chemical dependency members.
• Ensure and oversee member safety.
• Respond to crisis intervention.
• Maintain current CPR and Crisis Intervention training
• Provide on-call services.

Your responsibilities as a Transportation Specialist – PRN will include but are not limited to the following:

• Must maintain acceptable driving record free of major violations and no record of DUI convictions in the past 10 years.
• Observe all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Maintain current CPR and Crisis Intervention training
• Maintain safety precautions when consumers are boarding and departing the vehicle
• Maintain consumer management and report consumers incidents to the appropriate supervisors
• Follow assigned route and adhere to set schedules
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and submit damage/repair reports as necessary
• Keep assigned vehicle clean and fueled daily
• Adhere to dress code requirement daily including wearing ID badge
• Participate in initial online training and ongoing staff development, training, and staff meetings.
• Provide on-call services.
• Maintain a positive attitude at all times
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Qualified candidates must be flexible, motivated and organized, have a positive demeanor
• Possess the ability to work independently, as well as, within a multidisciplinary team in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to complete all required paperwork and meet deadlines.
• Must be a minimum of 23 years of age
• Acceptable driving record free of major violations and no record of DUI convictions in the past 10 years.
• Must be able to sit continuously in a driver’s seat for long periods of time. Assisting consumers in and out of vehicle when necessary

: High School Diploma or Equivalency

: Must have 1-2 years’ experience with the Mental Health community with experience operating a 12-15 passenger vehicle. Knowledge of local community resources a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
