Vocational Services, Inc. is Hiring an Account Sales Manager Near Liberty, MO

PURPOSE:

The Production Sales Representative will work in conjunction with the General Manager to plan and direct organizational sales for new customers encompassing various services. VSI’s extended employment sheltered workshop is a light industrial environment that trains and improves vocational skills for individuals with disabilities for gainful employment by subcontract packaging, fulfillment, assembly work, commercial printing, and pet/vet first aid kits.

The Production Sales Representative must be entrepreneurial-minded and flexible while actively pursuing new customers. They will also help the General and Facility Manager manage the activity of our existing customers.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and/or Experience

An associate’s degree in marketing, sales, and business, emphasizing production sales and two years of related experience. Or a High School Diploma or GED and at least six years of previous experience in production sales.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

Driver’s License—A class E driver's license must be obtainedwithin 10 days of employment.

MVR – A clean motor vehicle record is required.

Insurance – Must carry personal car insurance and provide documentation.

Reports:

Ø Must qualify for employment by being approved by the Missouri Division of Aging, Abuse, and Neglect.

Ø Must pass a criminal background check.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Ø Occasional after-hours meetings or functions

Ø Occasional weekend training

Ø Report all absences and any late arrivals to your direct supervisor immediately.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Communicates daily with the General Manager regarding the schedule for the day and ensures work responsibilities are communicated when absent.

· Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize the effects of competitive activity.

· Coordinating all sales activity locally and regionally

· Preparing sales budgets and projections

· Must travel for Sales and Marketing purposes and to develop and maintain new and existing customers.

· Evaluate and recommend distribution channel development programs.

· Collaborates in the development and production of promotional and collateral materials.

· Collaborates with the Marketing Committee on all sales activity

· Oversees development and maintenance of customer database.

· Maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.

· Participates in time studies to help develop time analysis for each job.

· Must maintain strict confidentiality on matters related to VSI’s operation, personnel, finances, employees, and business partners.

· All other duties as assigned

SKILLS:

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

· Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and SOP’s.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

· Display original thinking and creativity

· Look for ways to improve and promote quality.

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Be a team player as well as work independently.

· Strong communication in both oral and written communication

· Lift 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally

SAFETY:

The workplace and worksite regulations are consistent with the regulations recommended by OSHA. They must be adhered to and followed by all the employees, at all times, including the use of PPE. These regulations and any changes to them or any necessary training will be conducted by the company or their authorized OSHA-approved trainer.
