JOB TITLE: IT Service Desk Technician

REPORTS TO: Director of Information Technology

EMPLOYMENT: Full Time

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

This is an onsite position. Remote applicants will not be considered.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

VIVO Infusion is looking for a full-time individual to provide onsite/offsite IT support in a fast paced and customer service-oriented environment. The individual selected for this position will troubleshoot issues, provide support to VIVO employees, set up new clinics network and endpoints, and assist with any other situations that may arise. If you have excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to solve problems, can work independently when given tasks, and are detail oriented, VIVO Infusion is looking for you.

For this position, candidates must have the following experience:

  • 3 years or more experience in an IT environment
  • Strong Active Directory experience
  • Strong Office365 experience

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:

  • Provide tier 1 and 2 IT support by phone, in-person, and e-mail
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex problems with hardware, software, or network
  • Being able to recognize and escalate more difficult issues while providing appropriate information
  • Active Directory password resets, account provisioning to include new user equipment builds, decommissions, and password rests in various applications
  • Uninstall/reinstall software applications
  • Assist customers with navigation around applications
  • Logging all call, on-site, and e-mail activity into ticketing system
  • Onsite equipment moves, set up, and replacement (cabling, phones, printers, computers, Wi-Fi, etc.)
  • Able to use knowledge base documents and web searching to resolve issues
  • Set up new clinics network and endpoint and perform cable management throughout the clinics
  • Provide a high level of customer support

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Work with management on projects including planning, testing, and executing projects
  • Document unique solutions
  • Promptly report any problems/issues
  • Attend necessary meetings
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Mentoring Tier I IT Technicians

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or a corresponding number of years’ experience in IT
  • Minimum of 3 years prior experience in an information technology environment performing similar duties

Experience:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Office products, Office365, and Active Directory
  • Intermediate knowledge of basic networking protocols and standards (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, firewalls, routers, and switches)
  • Intermediate knowledge of servers (Microsoft machine accounts, domain user accounts, file servers, AD and Exchange)
  • Experience in setting up workstations and assembling equipment
  • Intermediate knowledge of login scripts, drive mappings, and folder permissions
  • Skilled in printing protocols
  • Understanding of HIPAA standards

Skills:

  • Must be a fast learner who can adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical personnel
  • Ability to work in a team environment, yet autonomously with self-motivation, including keeping forward momentum on projects and working with team members to achieve a common goal
  • Must be able to multi-task and change priorities based on criticality
  • Must be flexible when it comes to clinical treatment hours and scheduling demands
  • Ability to work with resources long distance

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This role requires travel (10%-15%) to VIVO clinics. The person in this position must be able to operate and drive a vehicle to work sites.

The employee is frequently required to sit and infrequently required to stand, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand; walk and talk, and hear. Requires excellent visual dexterity and manual dexterity may occasionally install cables or equipment in tight physical environments.

Position may require working a non-traditional work schedule (periodically) or working outside normal business hours (responsibilities include working evenings and weekends when needed)
