Vista Physician Group is a professional network which includes family medicine physicians and specialists with 10 offices located throughout Lake County. We are looking for professional Medical Assistants for several of our clinics across Lake County.

Shift Needs: Must be flexible with schedule, shifts, and travel between Zion and Gurnee

Responsibilities: As a Certified Medical Assistant you will assure efficient patient flow through the site:

• Escorts patient to exam room, Obtains accurate vital signs, per organization standards.
• Documents reason for visit and updates/confirms patient information. 
• Promptly informs the provider and registered nurse of any significant change in vital signs or acute symptoms.
• Assists practitioner with medical and surgical procedures in accordance with established protocols such as: Electrocardiogram (ECG), venipuncture, immunizations, setting up procedure trays and specimen collection directed by Provider.
• Anticipates/sets up equipment or supplies needed for visit.
• Cleans and prepares exam room for next patient.
• Responds to needs to expedite visits and maintain flow of patients.
• Prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Adheres to office opening and closing procedures.
• Communicates appropriately and effectively with patients and patient care team (in the office and on the phone)
• Performs delegated procedures common to the specialty area in a safe, effective, and efficient manner
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations within the Vista Physician Group

• High school diploma or GED
• Bilingual is strongly preferred and sometimes required in a specific clinic
• Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant through American Association of Medical Assistants or Registered Medical Assistant through American Medical Technologists.
• American Heart Association or Red Cross accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
• 2 years’ experience in preferred
• Will consider new grads from an approved accredited MA school
