JOIN OUR TEAM AS A Nurse Manager (RN) Full-Time

The Nurse Manger is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff assigned to his/her unit.

Schedule: 5 days a week with rotating weekends. 8 hour shifts starting at 7:00p – 4:00am

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

• Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required, or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience:  A minimum of one (1) year experience in a psychiatric health-care facility.
• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing
• Additional Skill Requirements: Knowledge of Joint Commission, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. CPR certification and successful completion of training in CPI within 30 days of employment and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

• • Leadership

• Ensure that all staff members deliver care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Practice.
• Implement the unit policies and procedures and act as a resource to the staff.
• Responsible for unit compliance with JCAHO, HCFA, state and regulatory standards, and patient rights standards.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and formulates plans for improvement.
• Develop staffing schedules for Full Time Staff in accordance with patient needs.
• Coordinate the process for determining and maintaining accurate legal processes for patients.
• Ensure Infection Control, Safety and Risk Management policies are consistently implemented on the unit.
• Coordinate, maintain and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment planning offered by Nursing Services.
• Process unusual occurrence reports, conduct investigations and corrective plans when needed.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and is responsible for the effectiveness of the unit quality improvement program.
