SOME INFO ABOUT THE POSITION…

- Perform street, sewer, streetlights, and tree maintenance and preparation.

- Drive snowplows, salt trucks, and operate all equipment for snow removal and ice control.

- Perform building and property maintenance on all Village-owned properties.

- Perform water line and b-box repairs; maintain hydrants; perform valve exercising and repair.

- Operate equipment including but not limited to trucks, Vac-all, flusher, televising and sewer rodding equipment, woodchipper, log splitter, and chainsaws.

- Work setting is highly variable and is subject to changing weather conditions, noise vibrations, moving parts, and electrical equipment.

- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES SHOULD...

- Have a high school diploma or equivalent. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

- Have a valid class “B” commercial driver’s license with air brake endorsement (CDL) (or be able to acquire it within 6 months of hire) and a valid DOT medical card; class “A” commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred.

- Have basic knowledge of sewers and pipes, cleaning equipment, water distribution systems and proper procedures for repairing water line breaks, types and kinds of trees, and construction.

- Have experience operating medium to heavy equipment (preferred).

- Have snow plowing experience (preferred).

- Be able to exert up to 75 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds of force frequently.

- Be able to work Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with evening and weekend hours, as required. Must be able to work overtime on short notice and have 24-hour on-call availability.

- Represented by the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 150.

- Starting salary is $60,182.61 through April 30, 2024, and increases to $61,687.18 on May 1, 2024.

- Full salary range is up to $ 82,962.40 through April 30, 2024, and increases to $93,752.70 on May 1, 2024.
