WE ARE HIRING! Join our team and become our new part-time NILES TV ASSISTANT, providing day-to-day support to the communications and multimedia coordinator!

SOME INFO ABOUT THE POSITION...

- Attend all scheduled Village Board Meetings as well as any other meetings as needed.

- Set up and prepare broadcast equipment.

- Operate camera control and switcher equipment while recording for cable channel.

- Convert video files appropriately for broadcast and streaming.

- Create index of videos.

- Assist with writing and posting press releases as needed.

- Add events to website calendar.

- Add informational slides to Village cable channel.

- Photograph special events.

- Support multimedia and communication projects as needed.

- Assist with production and postproduction of Village public service announcements, including writing, filming or editing.

QUILIFIED CANDIDATES SHOULD...

- Position requires constant use of hearing, talking, reading, writing and repetitive work tasks.

- This is a medium work position in nature, with the need to exert up to 25 pounds of force frequently.

- Applicant must have experience with website content management system, non-linear editing software, and a DSLR camera.

- Some college and experience working with live TV is preferred.

- Possession of a valid Driver’s License is required.

PAY BENEFITS AND MORE...

- $15 - $19 per hour

- Flexible work schedule, up to 18 hours per week

- Paid leave after 90 days of employment
