Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in accordance with the school's curriculum guidelines
- Deliver instruction in various scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics
- Utilize instructional strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic growth
- Incorporate hands-on experiments and demonstrations to enhance student understanding of scientific concepts
- Provide guidance and support to students in conducting scientific research projects
- Utilize technology and multimedia resources to enhance instruction and student learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in science education
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Valid teaching certification in Science or a related subject area
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including those with special education needs
- Strong knowledge of scientific principles and concepts across multiple disciplines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective classroom management and parent communication
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student success
- Proficiency in instructional design and the use of technology in the classroom
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques to promote a positive classroom climate
Note: Experience in educational administration, mentoring, research laboratory, library services, academic advising, or instructional design would be considered an asset.
