One of Oregon's top employers has engaged our firm in their search for an experienced Compensation Analyst. This role provides compensation analysis and administration for the organization. Assists in the development, implementation, administration and evaluation of strategies, plans, programs, and procedures designed to provide equitable and competitive employee compensation. Elements of the position include job analysis and documentation, salary survey participation and market data analysis, interpretation of regulatory guidelines, and creation/interpretation of internal policies/standards within the context of the compensation functions.
Job Title: Compensation Analyst
Salary: $35-40/hour
Location: Hybrid/Remote - OR/WA applicants ONLY
Key Responsibilities
· Consults with managers and Human Resource partners to ensure alignment between compensation programs, compensation philosophy and business strategy.
· Partners with HR Business Partners and business line leaders to conduct job evaluations and market pricing on an on-going basis and consult regarding incumbent pay decisions.
· Responsible for providing guidance on the interpretation and application of compensation programs, policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
· Performs ad hoc reports to support sound compensation decisions.
· Coordinates and participate on design teams with business partners from line of business management, HR and Finance to design incentive plans that support the business strategy.
· Participates in and analyze salary survey data to ensure current pay practices are market competitive and in line with the organization's position.
· Provides support for the annual compensation planning processes including salary structure update, merit increases and incentive awards.
· Develops recommendations for new procedures or policies related to compensation programs and policies.
Requirements - What Matters Most
· Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
· 3 years of related experience in financial analysis, HR analysis, incentive design or similar analytical background, required.
· Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
· Excellent analytical skills including strong capabilities in MS Excel.
· Working knowledge of accounting and statistics.
· Knowledge of best practices in compensation, job analysis, job evaluation and applicable federal laws.
· Experience solving complex issues through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
· Ability to adhere to deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
· Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Ability to act independently and exercise judgment and discretion within the scope of the position.
· Strong internal and external customer focus
