Associate Attorney (Entry-Level)

We are seeking a part time newly-admitted attorney to join our firm's civil litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have excellent legal research skills, experience drafting
pleadings and legal memoranda, strong organizational abilities, and a
willingness to manage a substantial workload. This position offers extensive
responsibilities and exposure to a wide array of legal areas, including civil
litigation, diverse regulatory bodies, and internal administrative tasks.

Duties:
- Motions and Pleading, Conferences, Court Appearance.
- Assist with legal administrative tasks, including drafting legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Prepare for and litigate cases in court
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases
- Maintain accurate and organized case files

Skills:
- Strong research skills to gather relevant information and precedents
- Proficient in legal administrative tasks, such as drafting and reviewing legal documents
- Excellent negotiation skills to advocate for clients' interests
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Ability to draft clear and concise legal documents
- Experience in litigation, including courtroom appearances and oral arguments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar association
- Prior experience as an Associate Attorney preferred but not required

We offer competitive compensation based on experience. You will start with 10 hours per week mostly remote. There will be some court appearances.
