Viceroy Chicago, located in the exclusive Gold Coast neighborhood, will mark Viceroys first destination in the Windy City. Located at the site of the 1920's-era Cedar Hotel, among historic mansions and just steps to the Magnificent Mile and Lake Michigan, Viceroy Chicago will offer a locally-inspired luxury experience with 180 guestrooms, including 18 suites. Explore modern, Midwest flavors at the hotels restaurant or head up to the rooftop bar, pool and lounge, perched 18 stories high for a sweeping panorama of Great Lake views and Chicagos iconic, soaring skyline.
**Scope of this position:**
* Maintain a constant knowledge of menu items and beverage lists
* Upsell food and beverage items
* Verify food matches the orders on tickets
* Perform cash handling according to written procedures
* Listen to, and promptly act to resolve, guest issues and requests and hold effective communication with management
**Qualified candidates will possess the following:**
* Ability to deliver exceptional guest service experience
* Must be knowledgeable about local area
* Communicating within F&B and with other departments regularly and effectively
* Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 15 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally
* Flexible schedule - Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, Overnights, weekends and holidays.
