Located at the site of the 1920's-era Cedar Hotel, among historic mansions and just steps to the Magnificent Mile and Lake Michigan, Viceroy Chicago will offer a locally-inspired luxury experience with 180 guestrooms, including 18 suites. Explore modern, Midwest flavors at the hotel’s restaurant or head up to the rooftop bar, pool and lounge, perched 18 stories high for a sweeping panorama of Great Lake views and Chicago’s iconic, soaring skyline.

Scope of this position:

• Setting and maintaining the dining room environment and material perfectly clean.
• Set up tables up to our standard
• Serving and assisting the guest courteously and efficiently.
• Take customer food and beverage order
• Knowledge of menu items and wines to be able to service and up sell the products
• Make sure that all silver and glasses are spotless
• Mark tables appropriately to food order

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in similar position. Hotel restaurant experience preferred.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks inclusive of weekends and holidays.
• Must work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
• Must be able to carry multiple items in hand and keep on pace with business volumes
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 15-20lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
• Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length
