Candidate must be located in any of the following areas- North Central US (Missouri, Minnesota, and Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota) Job Function Reporting into the Commercial Manager, the Territory Sales Manager will be remote (central US) and will be responsible for managing relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring overall success within the assigned territory in the Central United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to achieving sales targets. Responsibilities Territory Management: Develop and implement account strategy and plan to achieve sales targets within the assigned territory. Continually strive to identify opportunities and effectively negotiate challenges. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry influencers. Sales Growth: Drive sales growth by promoting and selling our range of pigments and dispersions. Identify new business opportunities and work towards expanding the customer base. Collaborate with leadership and other functions to develop effective sales strategies and campaigns. Customer Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and provide effective solutions. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients within the territory. Sales Documentation and Reporting: Write detailed call reports after each customer interaction, documenting relevant information and feedback. Forecast monthly sales accurately, providing insights into trends and potential challenges. Ensure all sales documentation, including account plans, contracts and agreements, is accurate and up to date. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, customer service and product management to streamline processes and enhance customer experience. Communicate effectively with the sales leadership and the sales team, providing regular updates on sales performance and market insights. Training and Development: Stay informed about industry trends, product developments, and competitor activities. Continually engage in independent learning with the aim to develop expertise in key skillsets associated with the sales profession (presentation, negotiation, motivation, conflict resolution, etc.). Compliance and Integrity: Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards in all business interactions. Uphold the highest level of integrity in all sales activities and transactions. Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in colorants/pigments, or in adjacent/proximate industries. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel within the assigned territory. This position requires frequent face-to-face interaction with customers and prospects to be successful, and 75% travel is expected. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
