Salary Range: $125K-150K*

Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative and strategic Director of Annual Fund to design and lead a comprehensive annual giving program for Vibrant Emotional Health. The Director of Annual Fund =is responsible for growing Vibrant's Annual Fund base, renewing and upgrading member support, and strengthening relationships with current members below the major donor level. The Director of Annual Fund will develop and implement cultivation and stewardship strategies for all constituencies, oversee direct mail and online campaigns, develop giving societies, implement a tribute giving program, and oversee planned giving initiatives with external partners.

Responsibilities:

Strategy:

Oversee Vibrant's Annual Fund Program, generating income from donors through strategic multichannel marketing efforts
Create a comprehensive Annual Fund strategy, with clearly defined segments, compelling content and creative, and testing by channel to optimize performance
Implement data-driven tactics to retain and grow the donor base and align all fundraising channels, email, direct mail, monthly donors, and digital giving into Annual Fund strategy
Develop new tactics to maximize ROI, automate marketing touchpoints, and build stakeholder relationships
You are a highly organized project manager, excel at leading cross-departmental collaborations, and use a data-driven approach to analyze and refine strategies
Perform response analysis and prepare fundraising activity reports to ensure financial objectives are met
Establish Key Performance Indicators to measure channel performance and communicate results to senior management

Donor Communications:

Write and deliver compelling messages to multiple audiences via many channels
Develop and implement content calendar to increase Annual Fund support and participation rates across all constituencies
Manage the development and production of all Annual Fund materials for print, digital, and social media channels, collaborating extensively with Online Fundraising Specialist (MarCom Department)
Write content for internal and external communications such as newsletters, appeals, copy for website, etc.

Donor Stewardship and Outreach:

Manage donor stewardship and ensure proper acknowledgment of all gifts
Weekly thank you calls to $1,000 donors
Devise and implement donor circles and tribute gift recognition program
Integrate donor feedback and surveys, annual report listing, and program affinity areas into donor communications activities

Planned Giving:

Work with external vendor to implement Vibrant's Planned Giving program

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in English, business, liberal arts, communications, or related field
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in development, demonstrating a successful track record creating annual giving campaigns, soliciting gifts, and conversion strategies
Ability to inspire, generate excitement, shared purpose, and action;
- Advanced written communication skills required, including proofreading skills
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills and confidence necessary to engage in face-to-face and/or phone solicitations
Ability to plan, organize, and project manage concurrent donor communication campaigns in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Understanding of multichannel direct marketing and familiarity with segmentation strategies using a large constituent database
Experience working effectively in a large, complex non-profit and working across departments to gather information, data, and stories of impact; demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
