Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications, & Public Affairs, the Director of Fund Development will help shape our fund development activities, including government and foundation grants, individual financial donors, and other opportunities. This position is responsible for fundraising and development activities in partnership with the Office of Sponsored Programs. The Director of Fundraising will design and implement a plan for developing key external alliances by cultivating grants, foundation, corporate, government, individual, and philanthropic support.

She or he will expand and diversify NYBCes contributed revenue base and pipeline and work closely with other team members to secure funding for ongoing and new initiatives

  • Working with Corporate Communications & Public Affairs, B2B Marketing, develop collaterals and promote awareness of the organizations mission, vision, values, and the breadth of our products and services to potential funders.
  • Actively work with SLT to develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy to include corporate, foundation, government grants, etc.
  • In partnership with grant writer and OSP, will be responsibility for the development and execution of all grant proposals.
  • Develops and implements a fund development plan for each channel to achieve short-term and long-term goals.
  • Strategize and implement engagement opportunities for corporate, grant, foundation, individual cultivation, and solicitation.
  • Oversee office and software systems, including Salesforce and DonorSearch to support all projects and operations.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and other business units and divisional leads to develop and implement the strategy.
  • Cultivate outstanding relationships and communication across NYBCe.
  • Support team responsible for identification of funding sources and trends, with foresight, to help position NYBCe ahead of major funding changes or trends.
  • Monitor all contributed revenue, and sources, provide and present statistical analysis to board and senior leaders.
  • Monitor and report regularly on the progress of the development program.
  • Identify, develop, and mentor the development team.
  • Solidify and diversify funding sources to reduce dependence on any one source and ensure long-term sustainability.
Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelors Degree in communications, marketing, business, fundraising or related area.

Experience:

Eight to Ten years of experience in fundraising/philanthropy at a major organization or entity.

Three years of supervisory or managerial experience required.

Ability to travel to NYBCe locations 20% of the time.

Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to the requirements listed above, that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.

For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed annual salary is $150,000.00/year to $170,000.00/year. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicants skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.
