Overview:

Vibe Restaurants is a fast-growing multi-unit, multi-brand QSR franchisee based in Dallas, TX. It’s currently the third largest Little Caesar’s franchisee with 77 units in nine states. It’s also one of the fastest growing WingStop franchisees with almost 40 units in ten states and growth plans to triple in a few years. Vibe recently became a Whataburger franchisee where it will be developing 15 units over the next five years in the Oklahoma City market. Vibe is a dynamic, fast-paced company that’s focused on quality operations, building strong teams and encouraging team members to experience life.

The FP&A Analyst role requires expertise in developing financial analysis of the business using Microsoft software applications, other software tools and the company’s business system. The candidate should have the ability to create various forecast models including P&L forecasts, working capital analysis, cash flow projections, sales analysis, budgets, etc. A thorough understanding of accounting financial statements is required along with the ability to go beyond the numbers to grasp the entire situation. Restaurant/retail accounting experience is an important consideration because the candidate will need to work with multi-unit sales data, transaction counts, menu mix, theoretical food, labor costs, etc. In this role, the candidate will need to work closely with all departments in the organization and communicate with all levels of management.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare financial models and analysis for company forecasts, budgets, cash requirements, banking covenants, etc.

· Develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts using various source data and forecasting methodologies consistent within the restaurant industry.

· Analyze sales, traffic, food cost and labor costs to company standards and present variances and potential opportunities to appropriate department leaders.

· Assist in the implementation of a company business intelligence platform.

· Maintain and continuously improve the company’s business intelligence platform once implemented.

· Provide sales improvement and cost reduction ideas based on ad hoc and other detailed analysis.

· Report directly to the CFO in the business analysis role and participate as a key member in decisions and recommendations.

· Collaborate with the operating team and provide recommendations that improve profitability and effectiveness.

· Foster relationships with cross-functional and regional leadership to gather information, develop thoughtful conclusions, and influence decision making.

Required Skills:

· Experience as a power user/Report Author in a FP&A or Analytics tool, such as: Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, Essbase, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, etc.

· Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to go beyond the numbers to interpret results, draw conclusions and present to management.

· Self-starter who is very inquisitive, seeks out information and takes initiative to find accurate answers at their root.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Must have the ability to work alone and on teams in a results-oriented environment and develop solutions to complex problems that will gain desired outcomes.

· Have the confidence and courage to effectively lead, present, and participate in large and small meetings and status sessions, even when having to provide bad news or disagree with management.

· Show experience of a standalone ability to develop, update, and provide status of financial and performance metrics and analysis driven reports.

· Demonstrate an understanding of restaurant industry terms such as same-stores-sales, menu mix, ideal food cost and theoretical labor.

· Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skill in the use of Microsoft Operating Systems and all Microsoft Office tools, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel.

· Must have the ability to quickly learn advanced financial and planning skills required by multitask requirements. Must show the ability to create support plans and schedules for small to large projects in a cross-functional environment.

· Demonstrate analytical abilities and the ability to become proficient with main-frame style business systems where vast amounts of data require mining and analysis.

· Show an understanding of production or similar schedule driven environment within a profit driven business based on practical experience. Be able to discuss Profit and Loss (P&L) relationships from contracts to cost analysis.

Desired Skills:

· Approximately 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

· Experience in multi-unit restaurant/retail environment is a preferred.

· Problem solving, analytical skills, teamwork, communications.

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of Finance or Accounting
