Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Division partners with firm and divisional leadership to understand and manage risks and create solutions through quantitative analysis, projecting and forecasting. We are responsible for firmwide business planning and transformation initiatives. The business planning function collaborates with groups across the firm to develop and manage the firms forward looking strategic and financial plans, including the firms P&L and financial resources.

Our team collaborates with each of the firms revenue divisions, Controllers, Corporate Treasury, and Risk, among other groups at the firm, to develop products that enables firmwide strategic planning. As a Data Product Manager, you will help build products that transform financial workflows and build intelligent reporting to drive commercial benefits to the firm. You will explore a world of opportunity to impact one or more aspects of financial planning, budgeting, revenue & expense management and reporting, while working as part of an agile scrum team. Professionals in the FP&A division have an analytical mindset, exhibit intellectual curiosity and are from diverse academic backgrounds.

Primary Responsibilities

We are looking for an associate to join the FP&A Data Product Management team in Dallas. FP&A Data Product Management Team, like other Product Management Team efforts at GS, embodies the product mentality to the way we build our products, and ensure that we focus on our clients and their needs to build the right product.

The position involves building products that support the financial and strategic planning process, working in tandem with other FP&A professionals and across divisions. The role requires a combination of the following competencies: a strong foundation in financial services, product management, and background in BI, experience managing an entire product's lifecycle, from conception to launch and familiarity with JIRA. We expect a successful candidate to be self-led, entrepreneurial, and capable of managing the delivery and adoption of key products.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors or advanced degree
  • 3 years of experience in product management, finance, or similar role
  • Experience with BI tool kits (Qlick and Tableau)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex problems and roadmaps to stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with design and engineering peers to lead a product development team
  • Experience in performing product demos to user and eliciting feedback
  • Comfortable with Agile processes, with an emphasis on writing high-quality acceptance criteria and eliciting requirements
  • Ability to engage with and influence stakeholders outside their direct control
  • Self-directed team player, ability to drive high performance and work independently or in a team-oriented and fast paced environment
  • Data management skills
  • Budget and planning knowledge
  • Results-oriented work ethic based upon responsibility, enthusiasm, and pride in work
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
