Core Responsibilities
Gathers financial data for reporting and/or analysis on ConEdison's retirement plans (pension, VEBA, defined contribution).
Works with investment managers, trustee/custodial banks, and other third parties to provide efficient and effective services for Pension Management. Reviews performance of investment managers and other vendors and reports on this performance to management.
Performs or assists in the performance of operational, analytical, and administrative tasks for Pension Management.
Responsible for assisting in major projects and working independently to complete individual tasks.
Analyzes operating procedures and systems; recommends and implements process and system enhancements.
Prepares or assists in the preparation of the financial analysis of proposed new investments, strategies, risk metrics, and reporting tools.
Tracks compliance to contractual commitments.
Ensures controls are adhered to.
Reconciles manager performance and cash flows to trustee and record-keeper for retirement plans on a monthly basis.
Prepares PowerPoint and excel presentations and presents to the Named Fiduciary Committee.
Requires excellent communication skills to interact with finance, accounting, tax and investment professionals inside and outside of the Company.
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Economics, Accounting or technical field (statistics or investments) and 2 years work experience. General Finance, Accounting or investments
Relevant Work Experience
At least 2 years' experience in General Finance, Accounting or investments Required
Analytical experience and knowledge of financial analytical techniques Required
Strong Mathematical skills Required
Excellent verbal and written communications skills Required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Required
Proficient knowledge of finance and capital markets Required
